Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.05 introduced plenty of new items to the MMO, but before you can make everything, you’ll need the new Master Recipe books. These books contain recipes for not only the new crafted iLvl 710 gear, but also the level 1 glamour Scientist’s set, and much more.
If you’re into crafting in FFXIV, then Dawntrail’s first Master Recipes are definitely worth grabbing. Whether you’re looking for glamour, high level gear, new housing items, or stat-boosting meals, there really is something for everyone.
How to get Master Recipes XI in Final Fantasy XIV
To get Master Recipes XI books, you’ll need to visit any of the Scrip Exchange vendors throughout Eorzea or beyond. You’ll be able to find one in each major city from every expansion, including the brand new Solution 9.
Once there, navigate to the ‘Crafters’ Scrip (Master Recipes/Materials/Misc.’ category, then select ‘Purple Scrip Exchange (Master Recipes II)’. Here, you’ll find both the X and XI Master Recipe books.
Master Recipes XI books cost 1,200 Purple Crafters’ Scrips each, or 9,600 Purple Crafters’ Scrips for all of them. You will only be able to use the books within your inventory and actually learn the recipes once the respective crafting class reaches level 100.
How to get Purple Crafters’ Scrips in Final Fantasy XIV
If you have at least one crafting class at level 100, then getting the required number of Purple Crafters’ Scrips is actually remarkably easy, thanks to the ‘Trained Eye’ action.
Rather than diving straight into a level 100 craft, which admittedly do give more Purple Scrips per hand-in, you might be better off opting for a level 90 recipe and using ‘Trained Eye’ to instantly reach maximum collectability.
For instance, I did this on Weaver and chose to quickly craft a lot of Rarefied AR-Caean Velvet Work Caps. Using ‘Trained Eye’, I managed to get 114 Purple Crafters’ Scrips per hand-in and was quickly able to purchase all of the Master Recipes XI books.
