The seven-time criminal of the Orokin Empire, Kullervo is a folk hero to some and a villain to others. This blade-pierced Warframe inspired by the Finnish Kalevala takes some careful timing and a bit of a grind to obtain, but with his teleportation ability and his storms of daggers, he is well worth the wait!
Farming Kullervo
Before you can gain Kullervo, you must have unlocked Duviri by completing the storyline ‘The Duviri Paradox’. While Kullervo does not feature in that storyline, he sometimes appears as an objective in the Anger, Sorrow and Fear spirals of the Duviri Experience and the Lone Story. Even if fighting him doesn’t appear as an objective, his floating island prison, Kullervo’s Hold, still appears in Anger, Sorrow and Fear spirals of the Duviri Experience.
The spirals progress through Joy, Anger, Envy, Sorrow and Fear, with each spiral lasting for 2 hours. The best point to leap in for a lengthy grinding session is the start of Sorrow, as you’ll have two spirals to grind Kullervo before having to wait.
- Wait until Duviri is in the Anger, Sorrow or Fear spiral
- Access the Duviri Experience
- You should see Kullervo’s Hold as a round island at the bottom of the map
- Build up some decrees, as Kullervo can be quite tough to fight, especially if you don’t yet have the intrinsics that improve your ability to summon your Warframe into Duviri itself
- When you’re ready, travel to Kullervo’s hold and bribe the Warden overlooking the circular arena with 5 pathos clamps to let you fight Kullervo
- Travel down into the arena and wait for Kullervo to emerge from his cage
- Once you have defeated Kullervo, trigger the Orowyrm and defeat it. You will be rewarded with Kullervo’s Bane when you extract
- Trade Kullervo’s Bane in with Acrithis in the Dormizone to buy the blueprints for Kullervo. You’ll need 42 Kullervo’s Bane to purchase all the pieces
Building Kullervo
Kullervo not only requires Kullervo’s Bane to purchase, but you must also farm a number of Duviri-specific resources to build him. This can be a little time-consuming, so here’s a quick list:
- 10 pathos clamps, obtained by defeating an Orowyrm
- 50 Lamentus, dropped by enemies in Duviri
- 125 Nacreous Pebbles and 360 Ariette Scales, obtained through the maw feeding fishing activity
- 100 Aggristone — look out for Aggristone Formations or gain them through Duviri objectives
- 50 Tasoma Extract from caves
- 100 Saggen Pearls, found mostly in buildings and settlements
- 100 Conla Sprouts, found beside water, but particularly next to the pools in the Lunaro Court area
- 100 Kovnik, found across Duviri- 75 Runemarrow, gained through smashing deposits in the Undercroft
- 100 Eevani, found in the Archarbor and Amphitheater areas
- 200 Ueymag, found in Kullervo’s Hold (during Anger, Fear and Sorrow spirals) and the Chamber of the Muses
It might seem intimidating, but since you’ll be visiting Kullervo’s Hold to farm Kullervo’s Bane and exploring Duviri to build up decrees each time you fight him, you’ll be blink teleporting in no time!
