Some of the most powerful items in Baldur’s Gate 3 are hidden secrets that you can only obtain by delving into the most dangerous of dungeons, and others are available at the local merchant.
The Gloves of Dexterity are incredibly powerful and can slot into a wide variety of builds with ease. They bring their wearer’s Dexterity score up to 18 and add a +1 bonus to all attacks. Those bonuses are great for Dexterity-based fighters, but they’re arguably even better for characters who use Dexterity as a secondary stat. Karlach in particular can benefit from these gloves by using them to boost her unarmored defense ability and make her attacks more reliable.
Regardless of which character you plan on giving the gloves to, actually getting them will be your first step. The good news is they’re fairly easy to get and are available in Act 1. The githyanki A’jak’nir Jeera sells the gloves for 300 gold. All you have to do is get to her.
Finding Crèche Y’llek
The path to the Gloves of Dexterity begins with recruiting Lae’zel in Act 1. You can save her from some tieflings that have trapped her in a cage at the very beginning of the act, or you can encounter her later on the road to the Mountain Pass. Either way, recruit her to your party, and she’ll ask (or really demand) help finding her crèche.
Lae’zel’s crèche is still part of Act 1, though you’ll need to head into the Mountain Pass to reach it. By going into the pass you’ll reach Rosymorn Monastery Trail, and when you make it to the Trielta Crags waypoint, Lae’Zel will point out some githyanki markings and push you further along your path. It’s a long walk to the crèche, but a nearby cable car can get you there faster if you manage to pass a Strength check. Lae’zel will get you into the crèche, and from there you’ll be able to find A’jak’nir Jeera and purchase the Gloves of Dexterity for yourself.
