When building friendships with the villagers of Pelican Town in Stardew Valley, simply talking to them each day isn’t enough. You need to have a steady supply of gift items to hand, and none are better than the universally loved gifts.
There are a few exceptions to universal gifts. Occasionally a villager will hate receiving one, but I’ll note any exceptions as we go through this guide. Where someone is listed as an exception, it’s best not to even try and give them the item as a gift.
