Metal Accelerants are an important resource to gather in The First Descendant if you’re looking to get characters like Gley, Lepic, Valby, and Kyle. They’re also used in crafting unique weapons, so you’re going to want to get a lot of this.

To get Metal Accelerants in The First Descendant, you will have to farm the Sterile Land area of the game. Particularly, you have to farm the resource boxes and munition caches that you see scattered throughout the area.

The difficulty does not matter here. Whether you’re on the normal playthrough or on Hard, these items will still come from the boxes.

To add to how you can get Metal Accelerants, the best way to farm them is to use Bunny. Her first ability, Speed of Light, allows you to move extra fast across terrain. Using that to get through as many boxes as you can will greatly decrease the time needed to farm up the materials you need.

Additionally, her Lightning Emission ability is one of the best at clearing up mobs of enemies if anything gets in your way. It’ll also help destroy caches as you approach them. However, you do manually need to open up munition caches as you approach them.

You may also need to farm some Normal and Battlefield missions to get into areas that are accessed by playing through them.

Once you have made a round through an area in the Sterile Land, just fast-travel to an Outpost or a Temporary Safe Zone so you can either respawn the boxes or go into an entirely different location. Keep rinsing and repeating this until you feel like you have gathered enough Metal Accelerants to craft the parts you need.
