Nobody’s petrifying me!
The Divine Necklace is one of the harder items to find in Octopath Traveler 2. The necklace protects the wearer against petrification, which can come in handy against certain enemy types. The Divine Necklace is especially useful when fighting the Behemoth boss in the Sinking Ruins.
However, there are quite a few things that need to come together to get the necklace. It’s not something that most players will stumble across until the later stages of the game.
Finding the Divine Necklace in Octopath Traveler 2
There’s a Divine Necklace in the Nameless Village, which is located in the north of the Toto’haha region. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to get to the Nameless Village. Unlocking it requires you to cross the “Southern Nameless Village Traverse” with a worrying danger level of 45.
It’s possible to get to the Nameless Village without encountering any super-strong enemies. But to do that, you’ll need a Scholar in your party, such as Osvald. Scholars may learn the support skill “Evasive Maneuvers,” which allows your party to avoid random encounters. It’s not a 100% reduction though, so make sure to save in case you encounter difficulty.
Who owns the Divine Necklace?
Once at the village, you’ll need Throné or Partitio in your party to get the necklace. Castti will also be necessary if your level is low. From the save point in Nameless Village, head up the stairs, across the bridge, and up the next set of stairs.
Once you arrive, there will be a beastling standing outside of the first hut. He won’t let you inside, so use Castti’s Soothe Path Action to put him to sleep. See the screenshot above.
Inside the hut, you’ll find a beastling girl with the Divine Necklace. If you’ve brought Partitio with you, he can use the Purchase Path Action to simply buy the necklace for a small sum. Alternatively, for the people who have no problem stealing from children (myself included), Throné can take the necklace off her hands relatively easily. My success rate for Throné’s steal ability on the necklace was 55% at level 30. In other words, if you haven’t committed any other bad acts in town, you’ll successfully take the necklace without needing to restore your reputation.
After getting the necklace from the girl, make sure to get the Forbidden Bow from the chest in the hut. With that, you’re all done!
