The Joja Corporation is back in Stardew Valley with another offer and unlike its previous offers, this one might actually be worth thinking about. This time, they’re offering you a chance to bypass some of the Perfection challenges, but doing so comes at a hefty cost.
In order to access this Perfection bypass system, you’ll need to be pretty deep into the game and have Ginger Island unlocked, so you’re unlikely to encounter the new NPC, Fizz, for a while if you’ve just started a new save file.
Where to find Fizz in Stardew Valley
Fizz is a new NPC added with the 1.6 update and no, he’s not marriage material and you can’t interact with him outside of the Perfection bypass dialogue. He’s an employee at the Joja Special Services Division, and he’s pretty sketchy.
Before you can go and find Fizz, you’ll have to wait for some mail from the Joja Corporation. In the letter, Fizz invites you to speak with him and it’s all a bit ominous. Despite how it looks, don’t worry, you’re safe.
To find Fizz, head to Ginger Island and make your way to the Mushroom Cave (otherwise known as the Watery Cave) roughly in the middle of the map. Here, you’ll find Fizz standing at the back of the cave. Upon talking to him, Fizz will offer you a ‘Perfection Waiver’.
How do Perfection Waivers work in Stardew Valley?
Perfection Waivers, once purchased for 500,000 Gold, will boost your Perfection score by a measly 1%. This doesn’t seem like a good deal in the slightest, but it might be worth it if you have a particular distaste for a certain minigame – yes, I’m talking about Fishing.
These Perfection Waivers are, apparently, “completely legit” and signed by Mr. Qi himself, so who are we to doubt this slightly dubious-looking man who spends all of his time in a cave?
While you’re trying to attain Perfection, note that there are also a ton of extra achievements to work through as a result of the 1.6 update.
