ARK: Survival Ascended where to find Giant Beaver Dams and how to raid them

How to find and raid Beaver Dams in Ark Survival: Ascended

They are a bit harder to find, but Giant Beaver Dams still exist.

With the remastered and definitive edition of ARK here, some things have changed a little bit. In ARK: Survival Ascended, Beaver Dams appear to be a lot more rare than they were in the original game. However, Beaver Dams are still important as they are a crucial part of farming Cementing Paste and Silica Pearls.

Where to find the Giant Beaver Dams in ARK: Survival Ascended

In ARK: Survival Ascended, Giant Beaver Dams are still found near bodies of water, primarily inland rivers and lakes. For actual spawn location, the Beaver Dams can be built anywhere the Castoroid (Giant Beaver) spawns naturally. If you look at the map above, there are multiple popular locations in which the Giant Beavers spawn naturally and will build their dams.

While some areas are accessible early, it’s much easier to check these locations once you have tamed a flyer. However, if you are careful, you can sneak up the river to check for Beaver Dams. If you do this, the easier location to check would be the green areas on the east river.

It’s important to note that if you manage to relocate a Giant Beaver, it will not build its Beaver Game at its new location. It can only build them in the area in which they spawn. If you destroy or raid a Beaver Dam, the Giant Beavers will go and build another one in another spot after some time.

How to raid Beaver Dams in ARK: Survival Ascended

If you want the loot a Giant Beaver Dam has to offer, you will have to raid it. Inside you will find Cementing Paste, Rare Flowers, Rare Mushrooms, Silica Pearls, and a ton of Wood. Unless you need the Wood, you can always just throw the Wood on the ground. The Beaver Dam has to be completely emptied to be considered demolished which is necessary for the Giant Beaver who inhabited it to move on and build another dam.

It’s recommended that you do not kill the Giant Beaver that inhabits the dam, so that they will move away to another location and build a new dam. If you kill them, they may not respawn and then will not rebuild.
