Warlord Keres has infiltrated Urzikstan, bringing chemical mayhem to the undead world. Here’s how to find and defeat the new Modern Warfare 3 Zombies boss.
Where to find Warlord Keres in MW3 Zombies
Keres can be found at the Killhouse in Orlov Military Base. It will be marked with a Fortress icon on the map at the G2 coordinates.
Before entering the base, make enough preparations with Armor Plates, Pack-a-Punch, and Schematics. Unfortunately, Keres’ base is tough to do solo, so it may be best to go in with teammates. Snipers, turrets, and other foes will defend the area, and their hits can deal a ton of damage. You’ll also need a gas mask to withstand the poisonous gas inside the Killhouse.
Keep in mind that you must obtain a keycard to enter the side entrances of Keres’ Fortress.
Keres Fortress Keycard
The Keres Fortress Keycard is located inside a safe within Mercenary Strongholds. To open these areas, get a keycard from Mercenary Convoys or Camps. You’ll need to take down several enemies for this step, where a helicopter will drop down more opponents.
Each Mercenary Stronghold features a large safe, typically with a guard standing by. Open it to receive the keycard, a three-plated vest, and other rewards.
How to defeat Warlord Keres in MW3 Zombies
When entering Keres’ Fortress, you’ll be blinded by red poisonous gas. Use the gas mask to survive and use ammo caches to replenish oxygen levels. Enemy soldiers will surround the area, and it’s essential to keep loading up your armor plates. Using a squad is probably the best approach to defeating Keres, as I found it challenging to do alone.
Keres will be inside the smokescreen, so navigate the room to narrow down her location. If the battle gets too heated, go out the way you came in to catch a breath. Or, run away from the smokescreen inside the base to get a better look.
Watch out for the Warlord’s ballistic weapon attacks to avoid being downed. Sensors like thermal weapon scopes may also go offline, making it much harder to see.
With enough bullets, the Warlord should be brought down, especially with a Pack-a-Punch and high-rarity weapon. Rewards will be available shortly after, just like any other Warlord boss defeat.
