Fortnite’s Avatar event allows you to obtain numerous cosmetics through its Elements Battle Pass, which you advance through by completing Chakra quests and collecting Chi. To open your Air Chakra, you have to deal 200 damage to opponents with ranged weapons while airborne. Fortunately, this isn’t too challenging to accomplish once you know how to do it quickly.
Deal damage to opponents with ranged weapons while airborne in Fortnite Avatar Elements event
The easiest way to deal damage to opponents with ranged weapons while airborne is to jump as you’re shooting your guns. Once you pick up a weapon of your choice, such as an AR or shotgun, find another player, jump, and time your shots so you hit them while mid-jump. Although this takes some time to get used to, it’s a surefire way to progress through the quest.
That’s all there is to it. While you can go for wild trick shots using your air wheel and air jump abilities or glide from a high platform, jumping is much easier, as you just need to use spacebar or your controller’s jump button as you’re shooting. Occasionally, you may accidentally hit someone as your feet hit the ground, so it’s still important to time your jumps. Otherwise, if you don’t quite finish the quest in your first game or get eliminated early, you can hop into another match and try again.
Oh, and make sure you’re using ranged weapons as you damage others. Jumping around and knocking people out with your pickaxe won’t count towards the quest. Your safest bet is to pick up a few guns to finish the job.
Once you complete the “deal damage to opponents with ranged weapons while airborne” Air Chakra quest, you’ll advance through your opening Chakra bonus goal and receive 350 Chi towards your Elements Battle Pass. Opening all six elemental Chakras will give you the Appa Glider as your final reward, so be sure to finish them quickly before the event ends on May 2.
