How to deliver souls to Davy Jones in Fortnite: Pirate Code Four guide

At least you have more than three days to get them.

The Fortnite X Pirates of the Caribbean Cursed Sails event stays true to the movies, directly referencing multiple moments and characters from the series. One of many moments you’ll experience is delivering 99 souls to Davy Jones, which, in Fortnite, may take longer than you’d initially anticipate.

How to deliver 99 souls to Davy Jones in Fortnite

Delivering souls to Davy Jones requires defeating enemy players during your Fortnite matches. Eliminating NPCs doesn’t count toward this quest; every soul you collect must come from other people, meaning you’ll have to defeat 99 players to complete the mission.

If that sounds like a lot, that’s because it is. You’ll need to play in several matches to finish this quest. Fortunately, you don’t have to get Victory Royales to complete it or return to Davy Jones to physically “deliver” the souls. Once you once an elimination, it’ll automatically count toward the quest.

Where to find Davy Jones in Fortnite

Davy Jones is a pirate NPC you’ll find west of The Underworld on the edge of the map. Since he’s along the map’s edge, you’ll want to arrive here near the beginning of the match unless the storm circle favors The Underworld and Grim Gate.

Once you arrive at this spot, you’ll find Davy Jones walking around a small pond. Just be careful, as other players will likely visit this spot to listen to his pirate tales or attempt the ‘Survive the Black Mark’ quest. On the flip side, this also gives you the chance to get some quick eliminations from players with little to no weapons or shields on them.
