Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance pits you against several new enemies, separate from those in the original storyline. Naamah is one of the first bosses you’ll need to eliminate during The Angel’s Trail quest. We’re here to help guide you through Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance’s Naamah boss battle with a few tips and tricks.

Although Naamah is a part of Vengeance’s early stages, she can be ruthless if you don’t prepare for it. To get ready for this battle, I suggest loading up on Amrita Sodas or having an ally that cures status ailments. It would help if you also got your party around Level 18, the same ranking as Naamah during this showdown.

Naamah has a weakness to Physical Attacks but is resistant to magic. That means abilities like Ice and Fire won’t do you any good here. One of the skills I found best is the Needle Spray from the Raptors race, which deals a good chunk of damage to Naamah’s health.

Since this is the game’s early stages, you will have little choice regarding allies. However, there are still a few viable teammates you can go with. The Zhen Demon is an excellent teammate due to its Physical Attack advantage. Additionally, if you’ve chosen the new Vengeance plotline, Yoko Hiromine is one of the best allies as an all-around balanced fighter. I also like using Neko Shogun to lower her Accuracy/Evasion with the Sukunda technique.

The key here is to watch out for her Charmed ability, a power that can make allies uncontrollable. Naamah will use this technique a considerable number of times, so try to get rid of it with sodas or ailment cures. Anytime a teammate is under this spell, you may want to steer clear of healing, as they may end up healing Naamah instead.

After my many attempts at besting Naamah in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, I developed a strategy of always keeping the main character’s guard up when her attack is next in line. You can also improve Nahobino’s Vitality stat to withstand damaging strikes. Otherwise, she will unleash a few attacks at a time, ultimately resulting in an instant game over.

Various buffs worked reasonably well for me, including Neko Shogun’s ability to lower accuracy. The Tarunda skill is another fantastic choice, decreasing Naamah’s attacks.

This won’t be the last time you fight against Naamah, given that she appears later in the story. In this case, remember these tips and ensure that you’ve leveled up enough for her next showdown.
