How to customize your character in Space Marine 2

To customize your character in Space Marine 2, you first need to complete the game’s tutorial mission. This will then lead you to the Battle Barge, better known as your base of operations.

Here, you’ll still be assuming control of the protagonist of the campaign, Titus. Once you get through the necessary dialogue and cutscenes with characters to progress the campaign forward, you will then be able to roam around this area.

Find the room called the Armouring Hall and this is where you can start customizing. What you customize will be different based on which character you use. This part will get confusing, so here’s what you need to do next.

How to switch and customize character loadouts between modes in Space Marine 2

If you want to change your loadouts for your characters in the PvE or PvP sections of the game, head over to the Launch Bay. Here, you can choose if you want to play Operations (PvE), Campaign, or Eternal War (PvP).

Whichever you choose will change your character to the loadout of that mode. For first-timers, you’ll have a basic blue marine with the default loadout. Make sure that you cancel matchmaking as you switch modes so you won’t get interrupted.

Finally, go back to the Armouring Hall and interact with the terminal. Here, you can edit your loadout for the six classes in the game like weapons and cosmetics. For the PvE mode, Operations, you can also edit your Perk Tree to better suit your playstyle.

Cosmetics won’t be readily available to you if you’re starting a new account since you’ll need credits. Your weapons loadouts will also be locked in PvP until you level up further in that mode.

It’s best to start customizing after a few matches in each game mode so you have currency and levels to get you started.
