How to craft infusions in Nightingale

Alongside finding infusions from treasure chests, quest rewards, and Bastille rewards, you can also craft infusions after purchasing their blueprints from Essence Traders. Upon doing this, you can craft infusions after building a Simple Enchanter’s Focus and using essence to make the orb.

When you first dive into infusion crafting, you’ll use T1 Essence to make them. However, as you progress into your playthrough and unlock higher-tier essence types, you can use these to make stronger versions of your infusions.

You’ll need the following resources to make an Enchanter’s Focus structure:

  • One lumber
  • Two ingots
  • Five glass

These materials require having a simple saw table and smelter to create. The saw table is necessary to make lumber, while a smelter is needed for ingots and glass.

How to apply infusions in Nightingale

Once you have your infusion, you can apply it by creating uncommon equipment, right-clicking the infusion orb, and selecting apply. Your uncommon gear will appear in your available items, which you can pick and confirm to apply your infusion. You’ll find a screen showing your available slots, the infusion’s effect on your gear piece, and details about it filling the spot permanently. After applying it, the infusion will instantly buff your equipment, consuming the orb in the process.

If you have a specific infusion you want to add to a particular piece, upgrade your gear to uncommon quality or better. Otherwise, it won’t appear in your available items. You can improve your equipment by building an upgrade bench, selecting your common gear, and using essence to improve it. While initially sticking to uncommon-grade items, you’ll unlock additional upgrades later in your playthrough.
