How to complete the Puzzling Park level in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

No friends necessary

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has as much platforming action as the NES and SNES classics, but it isn’t afraid to throw some surprisingly tough puzzles at you. Case in point, the Puzzling Park level in World 2 looks simple on the surface, but can become maddening for solo players. To complete the level and collect the Wonder Seed, you’ll have to find five Wonder Tokens hidden in the level. It’s a small space, but because some Wonder Tokens are invisible, it can be very tough to find them all.

While the Puzzling Park level is clearly intended for groups of players, it is beatable by yourself. You just need to know where the Tokens and secret blocks are, and it will all fall into place. However, for best results, enter this level as Yellow Toad with the Bubble power-up or the Wall-Climb Jump badge. This will save you a ton of trouble trying to find the second Wonder Token. Here’s where you’ll find each Wonder Token.

Wonder Token 1

The first Token can be found near the entrance of the level. You’ll immediately see two coins suspended in the air, and if you jump to reach them, you’ll uncover invisible blocks that only Princess Peach can normally see. Keep jumping above where the bridge is, and you’ll continue to uncover invisible Nabbit blocks as well. This will reveal the first Wonder Token.

Jump on the newly created shelf of blocks, and jump up again in the middle as if you were trying to reach the token. This will reveal three Yellow Yoshi blocks. Jump atop these and grab your Wonder token.

This Token is probably why you’re here. Jump down to the lower section of the level where the series of pipes are. Before you reach the last pipe, a Yellow Toad box can be found in the air (pictured above). You absolutely will not find this one by jumping around randomly, so playing as Yellow Toad will help enormously.

If you have the Wall-Climb Jump Badge equipped, start by standing on the pipe to the immediate right of Toad. Perform a running jump and you should cling to the hidden block. Jump to the top side of block, and ground-pound it to reveal the second Token.

You can also use a Bubble underneath the block and bounce on it to hit the block instead.

Wonder Token 3

The easiest one. Jump into the Yellow Pipe leading upwards in the middle of the level. You’ll enter the small closed area in the background, where you can easily grab the Token. Easy peasy.

Wonder Token 4

In what appears to be the bottom-right side of the level, you’ll see a pit. Jump down and you’ll reveal a hidden tunnel.

Grab the Wonder Token right in front of you, and enter the Yellow Pipe to return to the main area of the level.

Wonder Token 5

The final Wonder Token in Puzzling Park can be a doozy, but it’s luckily easier to find than the second one. This is hidden on the upper-right side of the stage, which you should see as you go to grab Token 3. Technically speaking, you can perform some slick running jumps with the Bubble power-up to get this Token. However, the easiest (and presumably intended) way to grab this token involves revealing a hidden Luigi block.

This is right on the bridge, as seen above, so you certainly don’t need Luigi to uncover this one. Just press yourself against the wall under the bridge, jump up, and you’ll reveal a vine leading upwards. Climb up it, and leap to obtain the final Wonder Token.

With all the tokens obtained, the Wonder Seed will finally present itself. Run to the revealed area and grab it. Congratulations!
