How to complete the Pillar of the Community challenge in BitLife

This mayor is up to SOME good.

It’s time to pursue politics in BitLife’s Pillar of the Community challenge. During this weekend challenge, you’ll work hard to become a city mayor before getting married and making things a little complicated. Let’s start the Pillar of the Community challenge.

BitLife Pillar of the Community challenge guide

BitLife’s Pillar of the Community challenge has five tasks to complete:

  • Be born a male
  • Marry a teacher
  • Be elected mayor of your city
  • Cheat on your spouse 5+ times while mayor
  • Win a re-election campaign after cheating

Completing this challenge requires having the Politician Special Career pack, making it impossible to complete if you’re a free-to-play player. You can get the individual pack through the BitLife Marketplace or unlock Boss Mode to have every current and future job pack available.

Be born a male

The first and easiest part of the Pillar of the Community challenge is being born a male. It doesn’t matter which country or city you choose, but I went with the United States for this challenge. As long as you pick male as your starting gender, you’ll finish the first task and be ready to begin your political journey.

One thing you’ll want to do early on, though, is pursue a university education degree. While a political science degree would normally help you become mayor later, an education degree will help you become a teacher and get married. Overall, I found this program more helpful than a political science one for this specific challenge.

Marry a teacher

Our next task is to marry a teacher. The easiest way is to finish your university degree and check the full-time job list for a school teacher position. It may take a few tries, but you can close and reopen the BitLife app to refresh the list.

Once you become a teacher, search your co-worker list and ask out anyone who is divorced or single. Your spouse’s gender doesn’t matter for this particular challenge, so who you choose is entirely up to personal preference.

Ideally, you’ll either be rich or marry someone wealthy to make your mayoral campaign easier later. It’s not required, but having a high campaign budget will help. Nonetheless, once you find the school teacher of your dreams, propose to them and have the wedding to knock out this objective.

Be elected mayor of your city

Now that you’re happily married, age up your character until they’re at least 25 years old. You have to be 25 to become mayor, so age up as needed before finding it in your Politician job list.

Once you apply to become mayor, you’ll be able to pick your political party, platform, and campaign budget. In this case, I chose Democrat, Social Issues, and $300,000 as my campaign budget, but you can change these to your preference. Generally speaking, the higher your budget, the higher your odds of winning the election.

After you pick your options, you’ll be introduced to your opponent. My go-to strategy is treating them with respect but using any of their weaknesses against them without being disrespectful. For the most part, you’ll win the election without too many issues.

Cheat on your spouse times while mayor

After becoming mayor, it’s time to get up to some mischief. In BitLife, the quickest way to cheat on your spouse is to go to Activities, Love, and Hook Up, and engage in some naughty nights with at least five people. Your spouse might catch you, so you can try to deny it or apologize and continue until you complete this task.

Win a re-election campaign after cheating

With all that said and done, it’s time to win a re-election. Throughout your four-year term as a mayor, your goal is to get as high of an approval rating as possible by setting your political agenda, organizing rallies, and making speeches. If your approval rating in one section is low, focus on that to balance everything out and get as close to 100 percent as possible.

Once your term ends, you can run for re-election and repeat the process like before. If your approval rating is high and you’re setting your budget high, you’ll run against someone and use the same strategy that worked the first time. Winning re-election is more challenging than the original run, but having a near-perfect approval rating and a solid budget makes your odds high.

Once you win your re-election as city mayor, you’ll complete the final task of BitLife’s Pillar of the Community challenge.
