The Hidden Enemies quest in World of Warcraft Classic is a prime example of nostalgia clouding our memories. It’s a brutal experience that teaches Horde players the dangers of entering caves. Here’s the most painless way to complete it.
Where to find the Lieutenant’s Insignia for Thrall in World of Warcraft Classic
After trekking to Orgrimmar, Horde players will be tasked by main man Thrall to root out a plot by cultists. Where the Alliance has issues with the Defias infiltrating Stormwind, the Horde have cultists setting up shop in the middle of its capital city.
For those that didn’t immediately close the quest text, Thrall is spot on with his advice to check Skull Rock east of Orgrimmar. Head past the zeppelin tower and down to the coast to find a cave entrance framed by large, spikey, reddish-brown boulders. It blends in perfectly with the rest of Durotar, so you’d be forgiven for missing it.
Once inside, Burning Blade Cultists and their Voidwalkers are ready to murder anyone and everyone who enters. This level 12 quest can be obtained at level nine and is just an absolute suicide run. As if enemy density wasn’t bad enough, the drop rate for the Lieutenant’s Insignia is pretty awful.
To make things more tolerable, if you see other players entering the cave, offer to party up as the enemy density and respawn rate make a solo experience absolutely miserable. While you’re in there, make sure to introduce Gazz’uz to the afterlife as he drops an item that begins a quest. After killing enough of the cultists, you should get the insignia to drop.
