The snow fox quest is one you may easily miss in Black Myth: Wukong, but it’s one that will reward you with a rare Curio. So, if you are making a build using Transformations, this is one you want to get.
How to start the snow fox quest in Black Myth: Wukong
To start the snow fox quest, you have to find and unlock the Forest of Felicity Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy. From here, proceed onward until you find an area with an arch and a dead-looking body lying against it.
Interact with it to get a cutscene with the snow fox. You’ll receive a Snow Fox Brush from this interaction. Exhaust dialogue with it to learn that they were killed by someone residing in New Thunderclap Temple. This will help you know where to go next.
How to complete the fox quest in Black Myth: Wukong
Once you progress with the main story and find your way to New Thunderclap Temple, you can complete the fox quest. This area is large and can wear you down if you aren’t prepared, like having an upgraded gourd and crafted medicines.
When you see the thunder mages perched up on the split stairways, take the left path. Make sure to take them down or they can hurt and potentially kill you with ranged attacks.
Past this part, keep taking the left path until you find another temple you can go inside. You’ll have to face those blindfolded monks who are aggressive and have ranged attacks. It’ll be hard to avoid them since the staircase is narrow and the camera gets wonky around these parts.
Clear this place with the three monks and two thunder mages so you can proceed onward.
When you finally see the large set of stairs, go up them and clear any nearby enemies so you won’t be interrupted in this next part. Once enemies have been cleared, go inside the temple to find the aforementioned person who killed the fox.
Use the brush that the fox gave you to transform into it. Doing so will trigger a cutscene, leading up to the boss fight. It’s a fairly easy fight, but once that’s done with, make your way back to where you initially met the fox.
After the cutscenes and dialogue, you’ll be rewarded with the brush as a Curio. It’ll “moderately increase the duration of Transformations”, making builds utilizing that spell much more potent.
