How to complete Riven’s Wishes 4 in Destiny 2

Hope you kept those Charge of Light -Tier 3's in your Inventory.

A new Riven’s Wishes quest is available as part of Destiny 2‘s Season 23. This week, the wish dragon and Mara Sov are putting Guardians to work on The Blind Well in The Dreaming City. Thankfully, the task isn’t very complex, simply revolving around eliminating foes.

The Riven’s Wishes questline is an excellent way for players to load up on rewards during the long wait for The Final Shape. Guardians can earn Last Wish weapons, Lightfall exotics, or even some nifty shaders. Riven’s Wishes quests appear on a set schedule, with the fourth releasing alongside this weekly reset. After completing each quest, Mara gifts players a Wish Token, which is traded for the aforementioned rewards.

Week 1 revolved around public event completion, Week 2 had players finding Ascendant chests, and Week 3 wanted Guardians to face the Dreaming City’s Lost Sectors. Week 4 doesn’t require particular strategies or forethought, but players will spend quality time in The Blind Well.

Revisiting The Blind Well

Riven’s Wishes 4 revolves entirely around The Blind Well activity in the Dreaming City. Though The Blind Well is a public event, players can launch into an active instance via the node on the Dreaming City map. The activity centers around players trying to defend Awoken technology from Taken forces.

The arena is overcome with Taken energy when the event starts, causing damage to players. That said, protective barriers appear around the zones that must be defended. Players can shoot through the barriers to defeat enemies and charge the Well. Once charged enough, the protective barrier will move to a new zone. After four zones are charged, a boss encounter concludes the activity.

One thing that will make Riven’s Wishes 4 easier is understanding the Harmony buff. Certain Major enemies called The Anathema drop a purple orb that players can collect to receive the Harmony buff. Harmony allows players to move around the arena without worry of ticking damage. This enables players much more freedom to rack up Taken kills.

The ghost of Riven and Mara haven’t cooked up the most complex of challenges this week, but it will take a bit of effort. Riven’s Wishes 4 has two objectives: complete a Tier 3 run of The Blind Well and eliminate opponents in The Blind Well. While the two tasks go hand in hand, Guardians will complete one before the other.

The Tier 3 completion of The Blind Well shouldn’t take more than a few minutes for most players. However, racking up enough kills to sate Riven’s Wishes 4 will take a few runs of The Blind Well at least. On Tier 3, each enemy counts as 1% towards the goal. So, players need to eliminate 100 Taken in The Blind Well. Though this might sound pretty easy when imagining the enemy density of recent seasonal activities like The Coil, The Blind Well is from a different time.

Proportionally, there are far fewer foes in The Blind Well than in the activities most players are used to. This leads to a scramble, as up to six Guardians fight over a modern Lost Sector’s amount of foes. With that info in tow, players looking to secure kills should head into The Blind Well with some explosive weapons perks like Incandescent or Volatile Rounds. Abilities that can be used often and at range will also work.

After those pesky 100 foes are taken care of, players can return to Mara for the fourth of six Wish Tokens.
