How to complete Carved of Cornia Stone in Unicorn Overlord

It's written in the stone.

Some of the best treasure in Unicorn Overlord doesn’t just lie in ruins, but behind strange overworld puzzles. That’s true for quests like Carved of Cornia Stone, which requires Alain and company to visit monuments in the correct order to receive a prize.

In order to complete this quest, you’ll need to find the Faded Journal hidden in some Cornian ruins. You’ll also need the witch Yahna in your party, who will act as your helper for this and other carving hunts.

Where to find the Faded Journal

To actually get the reward, you’ll need to officially start the quest Carved of Cornia Stone in Unicorn Overlord; simply visiting the carvings in the right order won’t work. Once you’ve got Yahna, head to the east side of Cornia, to some ruins outside Grupont Town.

Investigate them when the red (!) shows up, and you’ll start the quest. At this point, you’ll need to find each carving, and then visit them in order. If you try to approach them out of order, Yahna will reprimand you. The order, in case you forget, is “minotaur, mermaid, gryphon, unicorn.”

The Minotaur

The first one to find is pretty close to the Cornian capital. Head southwest of Fort Épine Morceaux to find the Minotaur Carving, and start the chain of stone-touching.

The Mermaid

The Mermaid stone carving in Unicorn Overlord is, fittingly, by the sea. Head up northwest to Fontille Harbor and go even further, and you’ll find it near the Stone Circle there.

The Gryphon

We head back down southwest in Cornia for the Gryphon, which you’ll find if you head to Lebouge Hamlet in the swamps and head even further west, towards the river.

The Unicorn

Last but certainly not least, we have the Unicorn. It’s sat near Lis de Prairie Village, down south towards the border with Drakenhold.

Carved of Cornia Stone quest rewards

For finding all the carvings and touching them in the correct order, Alain and his Liberation Army receive a few boons. First off, you’ll net 1000G in War Funds, as well as x5 Honors and 30 Renown.

Crucially, you’ll also get the Kingsblade Cornix, a strong early-game weapon for Alain. While it doesn’t impart any new skills or tactics, it does offer 16 Phys. Attack and +5 to all stats, a hefty bonus at this stage.
