When you create your character in Starfield, you can pick a few traits, including whether you’re an introvert or extrovert. Both traits have upsides and downsides, but you might find that you no longer like the trait once you spend a few hours with it. Fortunately, you do have a means to become an introvert or extrovert.
With this guide, you’ll learn how easy is to change your introvert and extrovert traits in Starfield.
How introvert and extrovert traits work in Starfield
You cannot be both an introvert and an extrovert at the same time. If you’re an introvert, you’ll use less oxygen when you’re out exploring. However, you’ll only get this perk if you’re traveling without a companion. As you’d expect, the extrovert works the opposite way. Exploring with companions will result in you using less oxygen.
Both of these are good Starfield traits so long as they align with your playstyle. Introversion is a great trait to have if you enjoy exploring alone. However, you lose out on the extra firepower that companions bring. Extroversion is excellent for players who enjoy heading out with companions. It can be a downside if you prefer to go stealth, which is ideally done solo.
How to become an introvert or extrovert in Starfield
If you want to change your trait, you’ll have to head to the House of the Enlightenment. It’s located in New Atlantis, which is on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system. You’ll find it in The Well. Once you’re there, head to Andy Singh. He’s located at the centre of The Well, down a set of stairs. Speak to Andy, and you’ll have the option to change your introversion or extroversion trait.
Don’t worry too much if you pick the wrong traits the first time around. Starfield has a pretty robust New Game+ where you can pick your traits again.
