In any RPG, your character becomes an extension of yourself. It’s a reflection of taste, so it’s natural to want to update it as you play and grow through your journey. Right? Right. So, of course, that means maybe going back to the drawing board in games like Nightingale.
In Nightingale, the character creation is incredibly in-depth with a long list of options that can be fine tuned. However, the resulting characters can often leave a lot to be desired. Many players have been sharing their disastrous attempts at making a less than monstrous character, often with hilarious results.
Can you edit characters in Nightingale’s Character Creation menu again?
Nope! Unfortunately, if you’re not happy with the character you locked in, there is currently no way to alter their appearance outside of what they’re wearing. So if, like me, you gave up trying to make your character even half decent looking and angled for the bizarre look instead, then you’re stuck with them for the long haul.
Think I’m joking? This is my character.
Honestly, if you somehow managed to make your character look like anything other than a drunkenly formed lump of clay with hair, then I envy you and appreciate your patience and perseverance.
When you begin character creation, a message appears stating, “Appearance options cannot be changed after finalising for now, though we plan to add support for this in the future.” There’s no way to know how this feature will be implemented just yet, though hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.
Until then, I’ll just have to adapt to my character’s permanently traumatised expression. Although having said that, I’m not entirely surprised she looks that way, considering some of the things she’s thus far witnessed in the Fae Realms.
