How to build the fast time-to-kill Warzone assault rifle, the TR-76 Geist

MW2 weapons don’t all need to be retired in Warzone yet.

The TR-76 Geist build for Warzone

The TR-76 Geist is an assault rifle that’s flown under the radar for most Warzone players. Despite its high damage output, the gun isn’t used very often in player loadouts. This weapon isn’t even from the latest iteration of Call of Duty, but it might be worth using in the battle royale game mode.

With such a fast time-to-kill of any assault rifle in Warzone, the TR-76 Geist is extremely tempting to use. However, it’s worth noting that it isn’t as easy to use as many other options. For example, the RAM-7, Holger .556, or SOA Subverter all provide much better accuracy and easy recoil control.

If you can’t handle the recoil of the TR-76, it’s not worth picking up. Hitting shots with other assault rifles will result in more damage than missing with this gun, regardless of damage stats.

The TR-76 received a buff a few weeks ago that made it one of the better damage-output assault rifles in the game. However, it’s actually a weapon from the previous version of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2. If you’re someone who didn’t purchase Modern Warfare 3 and wants to use weapons you’ve had leveled up from the older game, here’s your best option.

Additionally, you should use the TR-76 Geist with a light and maneuverable secondary weapon. For example, a lightweight SMG such as the WSP, HRM, or AMR will go nicely with it. This MW2 assault rifle is a little slower than some of the newer ones, so backing it up with a quick gun that can get you out of a close-range bind is imperative.
