Now that we’ve seen the Main Competition finalists for the 2013 Independent Games Festival, it’s that time when we check in on what the students have been up to. Judges narrowed down more than 300 entries to end up with the following list of Student Showcase winners:

- Back to Bed (Danish Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainment)
- Blackwell’s Asylum (Danish Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainment)
- Farsh (NHTV IGAD)
- Knights of Pen & Paper (IESB – Instituto de Ensino Superior de Brasilia & UnB – Universidade de Brasilia)
- the mindfulxp volume (Carnegie Mellon University Entertainment Technology Center)
- Pulse (Vancouver Film School)
- Zineth (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute)
Of the winners, Knights of Pen & Paper and Zineth immediately jump out as me as recognizable, which means there’s further link clicking that needs to be done on my part. If you’d like to dig deeper, be sure to read over the announcement post, as it also lists the honorable mentions.
