Heaven Burns Red is the latest addition to the world of global gachas, and there are plenty of characters to pick from at launch.

Like every gacha, you’ll be relying mostly on the banners to get your share of characters to aid your team construction. While I found most of the characters pretty well-balanced, certain ones are better than others. Investing in them will make it the best possible use of your resources, and you will be one step closer to reaching the endgame quickly.

It’s important to note that characters in Heaven Burns Red have different versions, so you’ll want to avoid getting confused about different versions. To separate the characters, I have used four different tiers.

  • S-tier characters are the very best units to include in your team right now.
  • A-tier characters are decent choices, and will usually form the core of your squad.
  • B-tier characters are good choices, but it’s best to replace them when you can.
  • C-tier characters should be replaced as soon as possible.
