You can encounter multiple afflictions, including Hurt, Fatigue, and Dizziness. Anytime the character has been injured, an icon appears on the top-right corner of the screen. Go to the Character tab in the menu and select the Health section to see what type of injury it is.

The Health Panel provides a detailed overview of the exact location of the affliction. The injury will be presented with the following colors:

  • Red (or Yellow) – Wounds on bones and organs
  • Green – Treated wounds
  • Purple – Bruises

Wounds in the red or yellow zone must be treated immediately. However, some Gray Zone Warfare inflictions can go away over time. I discovered this with the Dizziness and Fatigue effect, which seemed to disappear after a few minutes. Fatigue mainly occurs when running for too long, so it should go away once the meter fills up.

How to heal injuries in Gray Zone Warfare

To heal afflictions in Gray Zone Warfare, you’ll need to utilize specific materials. Fortunately, some of these items are readily available in your inventory, providing a lifeline during the initial stages of the game. Understanding what each item is used for in treating GZW’s various injuries is key to your survival. So, here’s a list of items you can use:

  • Bandages – Helps remedy the Bleeding affliction
  • Blood Bags – Usable when Blood levels are low
  • Charcoal – Heals poisons and drug overdoses
  • KI (Potassium Iodide) – For radioactive exposures
  • Melox – Manages pain and inflammation for 600 seconds
  • Splint – Used for injured limbs, specifically with the Hurt infliction
  • Suture Kit – For injured organs
  • MFAT – Alleviates limb injuries
  • First Aid Kit – Use for traumatic injuries

One of the first injuries I encountered was the Hurt state, which is just a fancy word for an injured limb. This typically happens when you jump off a high ground and land the wrong way. Splints prove helpful here, so ensure you keep these items on hand. Bleeding is another common one, and fortunately, bandages can remedy it.

How to get medical supplies in Gray Zone Warfare

You can loot or purchase items from the vendor Lab Rat when your medical supplies are running low. Open your inventory to find the vendor (at your base) showcasing a trade for several medical supplies.

Lab Rat holds many handy items, including Blood Bags, First Aid Kits, and Bandages. She also has food and water to replenish your Hydration and Energy levels.

Players should always stock up on medical supplies beforehand to avoid getting eliminated on the battlefield. Hit the ‘H’ button for quick healing during those intense Faction showdowns.
