Johnnemann Nordhagen broke off from Fullbright a few months after Gone Home‘s launch. About a year ago, we got a teaser image for his new project of a wolf playing cards, but there has been radio silence since then.

Tonight at The Game Awards, Nordhagen showed off Where the Water Tastes Like Wine in motion. With art by Kellan Jett, it’s reminiscent of Van Gogh with its deep colors and flowy lines. I can dig it.

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is about “traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny.” Inspired by United States folk tales, it will have players traveling through the country over the course of a hundred years, experiencing stories along the way.

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is planned for Mac and Windows, with additional platforms to be announced later.
