Sony and Saber Interactive have released a new trailer for the upcoming remaster of Ghostbusters: The Video Game. The short video features fans of the 2009 release reminiscing about some of their favourite moments from the star-studded adventure.

Although some players found Ghostbusters: The Video Game a little repetitive on release, the third-person adventure is considered something of a small treasure among the dedicated Ghostbusters community. Due to the game’s efforts to reunite so many original cast members, and the implementation of an original storyline that maintains several ties to the movie lore, some fans regard the release an unofficial pseudo-sequel to 1989’s Ghostbusters II.

In Ghostbusters: The Video Game, the player takes up the role of a fifth team member, who helps Venkman, Stantz, Zeddmore and Spengler investigate strange behaviour around the city, which seems to be heralding the return of Gozer the Destructor. All four Ghostbusters returned to reprise their roles from the films, as did Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz), William Atherton (Walter Peck) and Max von Sydow (Vigo the Carpathian). Alyssa Milano also stars as new female lead Dr. Ilyssa Selwin.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered launches October 4 on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch
