Soak in this Zelda art video inspired by Miyazaki

YouTuber Matt Vince posted a video yesterday that takes the world of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and combines it with the somber, gorgeous art style perfected by Hayou Miyazaki. It’s a real feast for the eyes, and it’s accompanied by a lovely instrumental piano version of OoT‘s main title theme.

The animation breaks down a bit when there’s a moving character on screen, but the backgrounds and incidental animation like fireflies are above reproach. The artist created this video to accompany posters he had created some time ago that share the same style.

I’ve watched this several times already, and every time it’s helped calm me down a little. It’s also made me deeply want to revisit Ocarina of Time. Now where did I put that 3DS?
