During Microsoft’s keynote at GDC 2008, Tomonobu Itagaki took the stage to show off the newest level from Ninja Gaiden 2.
Itagaki acknowledges that Japan’s videogames have lost a bit of the impact that they once had, but he assured us that Team Ninja and Tecmo have been working on something special, and he flew in from Tokyo to show it off.
We witnessed real-time gameplay a special GDC version of a new level called The Temple of Sacrifice. If all the weapon slashing and monster face bashing wasn’t enough to get you excited, the new Ninja Camera should. Tecmo says that this feature will allow the player to be able to record and share their gameplay and general ninja badassery for all the world to see.
I don’t know about you, but I’m thrilled after seeing the 7.5 minutes of OMG-ness Itagaki brought here to share. I was already jazzed with what Qais recently showed us, but this new footage and gameplay totally wins me over. I can’t wait to lose again and again — again, in June.
