Last week we witnessed two of the most played Sega Genesis games go toe-to-toe on the court, and the battle spilled into overtime before a clear winner was decided. Right from the start, NBA Jam took a monstrous lead, but Aladdin just as quickly tied the game back up, only to fall far behind once again by half-time. Just as I thought the debate was over, Aladdin rallied with a wall of votes and tied things up to force the game into overtime. Sadly, the game was one-sided from then on, here are the results:
- NBA Jam (40 votes) — “He’s heating up!”
- Aladdin (21 votes)
This week we move on to the SNES & Sega Genesis odd debates finals. In one corner we have an adroit ape with quite the appetite, and in the other corner we have a backboard-breaking behemoth who’s almost on fire with momentum. Will the primate powerhouse its way to the trophy, or will the famous sports game take the gold? It’s up to you to decide!
Looking back many years ago, which game do you think is better, and why? Give it some serious thought, get some SNES and Genesis friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner, as well as a whole new three-round debate as we enter the PlayStation brackets of odd debates.
Bonus Questions: If they made another Donkey Kong Country or NBA Jam game for the current generation of consoles, what would you like to see the most and least from each game?
