Fruit Ninja going to iPad in high definition

Fruit are totally screwed.

Halfbrick has announced the impending release of Fruit Ninja HD, the upgraded version of its highly successful iPhone game. Built for iPad, Fruit Ninja HD will allow you to cut, slash and sever produce with up to eight fingers at once with glorious, upgraded visuals.

As if that weren’t enough, two competitive modes have been added to take advantage of the additional real estate offered by Apple’s largest handheld. If multiplayer isn’t your bag, don’t fret. There’s a selection of new single-player content in the game as well, including new modes and unlockable “Dojo” items.

We gave the original Fruit Ninja a rather positive review and it looks like the high-def version is shaping up to be even better. Fruit Ninja HD releases in the App Store on July 14th for $4.99.
