‘The original name was a bit rubbish and we got bored of it’
Frozen Endzone, the tactical robo-sport from the developers of Frozen Synapse, has officially been renamed. The new name is Frozen Cortex, and I’ve taken the liberty of making a new logo for it. The rename is taking place because the developers weren’t happy with the name and people thought they were making “Madden with robots,” which is very far from the truth. Frozen Cortex is very accessible and rewards strategy rather than knowledge of American football.
In addition, the game has received another big update. On top of Mac and Linux versions, Cortex now boasts a completely overhauled AI, new animations, five new stadiums, and technical improvements. I’ve already written why Frozen Cortex is awesome, even in its pre-release state, so feel free to check it out on the official website or the Steam store page and decide for yourself!
