If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll know that we’re getting close to the best time of the year. Fortnite is once again heading to a galaxy far, far way, but when does the Star Wars crossover event start, and what can we expect? I have the details.
Star Wars and Fortnite is a legendary team at this point, with plenty of skins and events appearing in the battle royale over the years. The link-up is happening again for Star Wars Day 2024, with content arriving across all of Fortnite‘s modes.
Fortnite x Star Wars Day release date
Star Wars content will return to Fortnite on Friday, May 3, 2024. This is the day before Star Wars Day on May 4, which is a big day for Jedi and Sith alike.
What’s coming in Fortnite‘s Star Wars Day event? Leaks and official news
There’s going to be plenty to sink our teeth into on May 3, with a ton of Star Wars content set to be added.
The biggest news is the arrival of Chewbacca, who is finally getting his own skin in the game, along with his Mythic Wookie Bowcaster.
Leaks also suggest that we’ll get a Rebel version of Princess Leia, and an eery looking Death Trooper too.
LEGO Fortnite
As mentioned above, it’s not just Battle Royale that’s getting the Star Wars treatment. An image posted on the official X account for the mode showed a Peely carrying a Lightsaber inside LEGO Fortnite, along with two futuristic-looking buildings adorned with the logo of the Rebel Alliance.
Rocket Racing
It doesn’t look like we’ll be able to speed around in X-Wings, or partake in some good old-fashioned Pod Racing, but leaker iFireMonkey says a Star Wars-themed vehicle and map should launch on May 3.
Fortnite Festival
As confirmed by the Fortnite Festival X account, the Cantina band is coming to the mode, which hopefully means you’ll be able to play the iconic Cantina song.
On top of that, players will also be able to play as Lando Calrissian, complete with a special Star Wars-themed instrument.
