Fortnite Festival Season 3 release date and what’s included

Bye-bye Gaga.

With Season 2 of Fortnite Festival close to wrapping up, fans of the rhythm game spin-off will want to know when Season 3 will begin, what its theme will be, and what sort of new content will be added.

Season 2 kicked off two months ago in February, so we’re definitely due for a new season. This means you only have so much time left to complete the season’s Festival Pass and unlock those Lady Gaga themed rewards. The Coachella skins are also not going to be around for much longer.

When does Fortnite Festival Season 3 start?

If the shift from Season 1 to Season 2 is anything to go by, Fortnite Festival Season 3 should begin almost immediately after Season 2 wraps up. Per the in-game Festival Pass and Epic Games’ own website, Season 2 is scheduled to end on Monday, April 22 at 12am ET. While this puts it at 5 a.m. BST in the UK, for those on Pacific time it’ll end on Sunday, April 21 at 9 p.m. PT.

Presumably, Season 3 will kick off straight away, though it’s entirely possible Epic Games will need to delay it a bit should any issues arise.

What music artist and cosmetics will be included in Fortnite Festival Season 3?

At the time of writing, we simply don’t know who Fortnite Festival Season 3’s featured artist will be or what sort of cosmetics will be included in its Festival Pass. Seasons 1 and 2 centered around The Weeknd and Lady Gaga respectively, but that doesn’t really tell us who will be headlining Season 3.

No information has been leaked either, which is surprising given how often new details on the main battle royale mode leak online ahead of official announcements. There’s no shortage of musicians fans would want to see featured in Fortnite Festival, but who Epic Games has actually picked for Season 3 is anyone’s guess.

Epic Games has teased a new Star Wars crossover for Fortnite across all three of its game modes: the battle royale, Lego Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival. So, it’s safe to assume some Star Wars music will be added, alongside new skins. However, that crossover is expected to drop in May, so it won’t be the sole focus of the season. As for which music tracks could be featured, our money’s on the iconic Imperial March and Cantina Band themes.
