Avatar: The Last Airbender didn’t just bring new skins and abilities to the popular battle royale, but new locations to the map too. The Waterbending Chakra Quests require you to visit an Elemental Shrine in Fortnite, and we’ve marked their locations on the map below.
If you want to get your hands on Fortnite‘s new Aang skin, you’ll need to complete the special Avatar-themed challenges to earn Chi, which then unlocks Chakras. The first of these Quests is to visit Elemental Shrines, dedicated to the different bending abilities from the A:TLA world.
Unfortunately, these Elemental Shrines are not named locations on your map, so it can be awkward to find them if you don’t know where they are. Don’t worry though, as we’ve researched for you so you can easily complete this challenge.

Fortnite Elemental Shrine locations explained
Each Element has two shrines on the island. We’ve listed them below, along with an explanation of where to find them.
- Firebending Shrine #1: Head to Rebel’s Roost, and walk north towards the water. The Firebending Shrine can be found on the coast.
- Firebending Shrine #2: The second Firebending Shrine is on the opposite side of the map, on the other side of the river to the east of Snooty Steps.
- Waterbending Shrine #1: This Waterbending Shrine is northwest of Classy Courts, right around where the snow melts.
- Waterbending Shrine #2: From Grand Glacier, walk directly south until you reach the desert biome. From there, walk east, and find the shrine on top of the mountain at the coast.
- Airbending Shrine #1: Walk directly north from Grand Glacier. The shrine sits on top of a hill.
- Airbending Shrine #2: This Airbending Shrine sits northeast of Brawler’s Battleground, and is very close to the POI.
- Earthbending Shrine #1: The first Earthbending Shrine can be found southwest of Pleasant Plazza.
- Earthbending Shrine #2: The second Earthbending Shrine is on the island in the middle of the map, east of Restored Reels.
Do Elemental Shrines have bending items?
Yes, Elemental Shrines are the easiest place to get an Avatar bending item. While you can get them from chests or ground loot across the map, you’re guaranteed to find on at an Elemental Shrine.
Of course, you’ll only find the Mythic bending item related to the Shrine, so don’t go to the Firebending Shrine expecting to collect and Earthbending item.
How to complete Fortnite‘s “Visit an Elemental Shrine” challenge
To complete the Quest, simply make your way to one of these Shrines. Once you reach the Elemental Shrine, a pop-up will appear informing you that you’ve finished the challenge. That’s literally it, nothing more complicated to it!
