Final Fantasy XVI launches for PC real soon, demo available now

It’s been just over a year since Final Fantasy 16 released back in June 2023, and for PC players who haven’t been able to play, I’ve got good news: Final Fantasy 16 is coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 17. 

The PC release date announcement isn’t all Square Enix revealed, either. Along with the glorious news that PC players finally get to experience the action-driven RPG, there’s also a brand new trailer — ‘Deliverance’

Before Final Fantasy 16’s September 17 PC debut, or September 18 for folks in Japan, you can play the demo right now on both Steam and Epic Games Store. The FF16 demo covers the opening section of the game, and save data carries over to your purchase of the full version.

It’s an exciting test that also includes Eikonic Challenge mode, offering both the chance to see if it’s a Final Fantasy suitable to your tastes and also to check whether your rig can handle the minimum requirements, which are admittedly pretty hefty. 

If you want to secure your copy of Final Fantasy XVI right this second, it’s already available to pre-purchase through Steam and Epic Games, including the Complete Edition on both platforms. 

Final Fantasy XVI: Complete Edition comes not only with the base game, but also the DLCs released for PlayStation players — Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide.
