Dawntrail hasn’t even been released for a month yet, but players around the world have their sights set on one thing — patch 7.05. This is the biggest patch yet for Final Fantasy XIV since Dawntrail’s release, and comes with a host of new content to enjoy.
According to a Lodestone post released on July 30, maintenance ahead of the release of FFXIV’s patch 7.05 will be taking place at the following times, depending on your location:
PST | EST | BST |
July 29, 11 p.m. – July 30, 3 a.m. | July 30, 2 a.m. – 6 a.m. | July 30, 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. |
The FFXIV Companion App and the Lodestone itself will also be undergoing maintenance during these times, so don’t be too surprised if you’re unable to access them before the patch goes live.
If you’re looking for new content to take part in now that you’ve completed the Dawntrail MSQ, you’re in luck. Patch 7.05 is bringing a lot of new experiences to FFXIV, including the first four fights of The Arcadion (Savage). These fights will also spark the first World First Race of Dawntrail, so the start of August is looking to be a very exciting time.
Also included in the patch will be the addition of the first Dawntrail Treasure Dungeon, Cenote Jaja Gural. This means that the Br’aaxskin Maps which previously only resulted in a Treasure Coffer will have a chance to spawn a Portal into the Dungeon after the patch is implemented, offering more chances for huge rewards and luxury items.
If your forté in FFXIV lays more in crafting and gathering than it does in fighting, worry not. The final thing being added with patch 7.05 is new Master Recipes. These will likely be obtained in exchange for Orange Scrips, so now is a good chance to stock up on those while you have the chance.
These Master Recipes will include new crafted gear which will carry an iLvl of 710 and will be purchasable through the Marketboard. For those looking to dive into those Savage Raids, this gear is a solid choice to boost your iLvl and get through the raids in one piece, even if you die a few times along the way.
While these are the big things being added in 7.05, we’re likely to see new minions, glamour items, and Triple Triad cards added to be picked up amid the new content.
Of course, as is always the case with x.05 patches, this one won’t bring any new MSQ quests to complete, as those are consistently added later on in the life span of an expansion. However, there’s no shortage of new content to set out and explore in Dawntrail, both already existing and yet to come.
