We can expect the return of the Arcade Playlist during the in-season. New abilities and weapons will be available to change up your tactics. For instance, the Ground Slam power unleashes a devastating attack when landing on the ground, while Forcefield defends you from enemy bullets using a transparent bubble. The Sledgehammer, Minigun, MORS Sniper Rifle, TYR Pistol, and Push Dagger will be added to the collection, too, with unique powers.

Once MW3 Season 5 hits the Mid-Season point, three new game modes will arrive. First up, we have Fishfection, a game mode where you need to avoid getting eliminated from Fish Operators. It’s practically the same as Infected but with a fishy twist. Paintball is another game mode on the horizon, primarily involving one-shot kills. Instead of standard bullet impacts, this game will showcase a paint splatter animation. Lastly, the Defuse or Destroy mode requires players to deactivate a bomb, which will already be activated upon start.

Recurring MW3 seasonal events

As the Call of Duty schedule is known for its dynamic nature, it’s always a surprise to see what seasonal events will be included in MW3. However, two events that have consistently made their mark are Halloween celebrations and CODMas.

The Haunting – October

Halloween events are relatively common in Call of Duty, so it’s safe to say that there will be another one for MW3. It will likely be tied to the Haunting, an undead mode previously in MW2. The event presents a more sinister take on current maps and game modes that are to die for.

CODMas – December

CODMas has become a staple in the Call of Duty universe as players tune into a winter-themed event. This celebration will include new modes, maps, rewards, and challenges. For example, players can participate in an all-out snowfight or eliminate Santa Gnaws.
