Slowly but surely, Battlestate Games’ Escape From Tarkov continues its long trudge towards a full 1.0 release candidate with patch 0.14. The update features many exciting developments, not the least of which is an entire suite of new movement abilities and the introduction of the SIG SPEAR combat platform.
Indeed, as per Battlestate Games’ forum announcement, the studio is preparing to release the big Escape From Tarkov patch 0.14, which comes with a slew of new weapons, bosses, movement abilities, and the long-awaited Ground Zero starter map. On top of all of that, the game’s meta is being rebalanced by a meaningful margin, with barrel attachments getting reworked from the ground up.
Escape From Tarkov’s 0.14 patch is quite hefty, in fact

As is usually the case with all of Escape From Tarkov‘s major content releases, players should be prepared to start their progression anew later today, on December 27. Battlestate Games confirmed that EFT‘s patch 0.14 will be rolling out over the course of the day, starting at 07:00 GMT / 14:00 EST. This means that all of the players’ progression will be wiped, setting things up for a potentially very exciting new slate.
Now, if none of this is interesting to you, given that Escape From Tarkov is a decidedly PvPvE sort of ordeal, you may be chuffed to hear that there is a single-player version of the game being actively developed. The wondrous world of SPT-AKI holds limitless possibilities, and it’s only a matter of time before the people in charge of the project update the full-fledged offline Tarkov with all of 0.14’s content and features.
