The early hours of EA FC 25‘s web app experience has run into a bit of a snag, as the EA Account servers experience technical difficulties resulting in service outages.
Unless you’re a streamer part of the EA creator network, you’ll have to wait 24 hours to play. But the web app allows you to get started with your Ultimate Team squad. From completing the starter SBCs to opening the first packs, the web app gets the ball rolling in all of the important places, so here’s what we know about the EA Account servers and when they’ll go back online.
When did the EA FC 25 EA Account servers go down?
While it’s hard to pinpoint an exact timing, the servers went down shortly after the web app went live for everyone at 6 p.m. UK time. While I did manage to sign in and open my Starter Pack, I was kicked out of the app promptly. All my attempts since then have yet to bore any fruitful results, as the EA Account servers continue to be buggy.
Based on social media, the problem is universal and has affected both PC and console users. So far, EA Sports hasn’t made any official acknowledgment of the issue. It’s also hard to pinpoint when the servers will be restored and if such occurrences could happen once again later in the evening.
The servers being unavailable isn’t uncommon if you’ve played the FC series over the last few years. This is mainly caused when a lot of players are trying to access the servers at the same time. The server load may have reached its maximum strength soon after the web app went live. This seems to be the biggest cause behind the latest server outage.
Once EA Sports has restored the service, you should be able to log into a web app and resume building your squad. Make sure to complete all the beginner SBCs as quickly as possible, and open all the packs to start working towards your first starter squad.
