Still just ‘early 2018’
Dynasty Warriors 9, which Koei Tecmo is touting as the first real open world Warriors game, will be arriving in “early 2018” based on Sony’s recent TGS press conference. We don’t really have much else to go on other than that it’s a thing, it has a grappling hook, 83 characters are in, and that it’s going to be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but there you go.
Well, we have a little more to go on based on the footage shown in the Sony conference, which showcases some light concepts like swimming. So far I’m looking forward to it, because while the open world setting has the potential to flop if there’s nothing of interest to do it in it, it looks crisp as hell, especially the environments.
As long as it runs at 60FPS on a PS4 Pro I’m good.
