Cyberpunk’s staying home
Leading up to this Thursday’s Game Awards in Los Angeles, there are two types of speculative stories coming out. There is “Some game is probably getting announced there,” which is the case with a new Alien title. And there is “This game isn’t being shown there,” as is the case with whatever Rocksteady’s up to. This is the latter.
CD Projekt Red has gone on-record to state that Cyberpunk 2077 will not be present at The Game Awards 2018. It’s a stock denial, complete with “We’ll share more when we’re ready.” Here’s the message from the game’s community lead:
We’re looking forward to seeing all the reveals and announcements during this year’s @thegameawards, however we’re not going to be showing anything there ourselves. We’ll share more details about @cyberpunkgame when we’re ready.

So, I don’t know, temper your expectations or whatever. All the games can’t be at every show. It’d be sheer pandemonium and 10-hour live streams. No thanks! All the bloggers would die.
