The Dogweed & Deathcap shop location is in Hogsmeade in the most northern part of the area. It’s annoying to get to as you’ll have to cross the river and up a hill to reach it. It’s strange how far away it is from the other stores. The best way to find Dogweed & Deathcap is by putting a waypoint on it; you may need to move the map slightly up to see the mushroom emblem of the store. After that, just follow the mini-map’s directions, and it will show you the quickest way to reach Dogweed & Deathcap.

By visiting Dogweed & Deathcap, you can get a selection of different hazardous plants and creatures that you can grow in your herbology pots. You can buy the following:

  • Chinese Chomping Cabbage Seeds – 600 Galleons
  • Mandrake Seeds – 800 Galleons
  • Venomous Tentacula Seeds – 1,050 Galleons
  • Two packets of Fertiliser – 300 Galleons
  • Two Chinese Chomping Cabbages – 300 Galleons
  • Two Mandrakes – 500 Galleons
  • Two Venomous Tentacula – 600 Galleons

You will need to grow and use mandrakes and venomous tentaculas, in order to unlock the Wingardium Leviosa spell. Mandrakes are able to stun enemies when used in battle, and then venomous tentaculas cause a lot of damage to foes around them with their poisonous blobs.

To grow Venomous Tentacula, however, you will need a large pot. Once you grow them, you’ll know why that is the case as they spread across the soil rapidly. To find a large pot, you’ll want to visit Tomes & Scrolls, annoyingly on the opposite side of Hogsmeade in the south. Once you eventually get there, you can purchase the necessary spellcraft for your needs in the Room of Requirement.
