Does Assassin’s Creed Mirage have a transmog system?

The answer's yes.

Many modern games have been implementing transmog systems. In short, transmogrification allows you to change the appearance of items such as weapons and armor without changing the stats. This is useful, for example, if you want to use a higher-level sword but like the look of a lower-level one.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise has featured a transmog system in the past, which may have you wondering whether Assassin’s Creed Mirage also does. You’ll be happy to know a transmog system is present in AC Mirage, though there are a few things you should know.

How to access transmogrification in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

To start altering your weapons and outfits, you’ll need to complete the prolog first. It’s a relatively short one, and worth it, as it provides some important backstory regarding Basim’s past. Upon completing the prolog, you’ll be thrown into Baghdad where you’ll be free to explore the winding streets, leap across buildings, and evade guards.

Weapon transmogrification is accessed by visiting a blacksmith. They’re scattered all over the map and marked by an icon featuring two swords and a shield. To alter your clothing, visit a tailor. They’re marked by an icon featuring a needle and thread.

Once you’re at the vendor, speak to them and you’ll enter a menu where you’ll have the chance to upgrade and alter your clothing or weapons. Head to the “Appearance” tab, as that’s where the transmog options are.

Transmog in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a streamlined game that simplifies many of the elements that had become frustratingly complex in past games. This is true of the transmog system which is incredibly easy to use.

Once you’re in the Appearance tab of the blacksmith’s menu, you can transmog your weapon by selecting it, and then selecting the weapon you would like it to look like. Note that you have to own the weapon you wish to transmog your weapon into. You’ll follow the same process if you want to transmog your clothing, except you’ll visit a tailor instead.

You’ll need your weapons, as Assassin’s Creed Mirage is action-packed, but you’re also advised to brush up on your stealth skills. Though you can slice through guards, there are so many of them that sneaking is almost always the smarter choice.
