After the premiere of episodes one and two of Season 14 on May 10, I shared a very popular theory about one particular face who keeps showing up time and again. Susan Twist, a British actress who has made appearances in four episodes so far and is set to appear again in the next episode “Boom” has set Twitter and Reddit alight with speculation.

Well, in an interview with TVLine, Davies has fanned the flames by discussing her role in the show, going on to say that this is a “world in which there are mysterious neighbors”, before confirming that Susan Twist does indeed play a more important role in the coming episodes.

The interviewer points out, as many eagle-eyed Whovians have noticed, that the Doctor and Ruby never seem to be looking in her direction when she appears on screen. To this, Davies replies: “Don’t worry, they will soon start looking the right way”. Apparently, we’ll see a little more of Twist each week and there is a climax coming, which will give answers to the question in fans’ heads currently — is this the Twist at the end?

During the interview, Davies also discusses Ruby and while he doesn’t give any answers as to why it keeps snowing at random moments, he does confirm that something happened on the night that she was born, before going on to say that the we will come to know exactly what during this season. When asked how worried we should be about Ruby, Davies replies “very”. That’s not concerning at all.
