A Moth to a Flame quest walkthrough

Unlocking this quest requires opening the Fiery Plains biome in Mythopia. Upon entering, head to the southeastern part to find a ramp leading up to a trial. Since you can’t clear these yet, take a quick picture before asking Hades for help.

Once you ask him about them, he’ll tell you about his fight with Maleficent. Although he doesn’t have any potions or upgrades for you, he’ll suggest talking to the Lorekeeper about Aurora, who knew about a Sacred Spring related to the flames.

Solving the Sacred Spring puzzle

Before doing anything else, you’ll have to collect a few Snippets for the Lorekeeper’s Sacred Spring page, as detailed below:

  • Red Bird Snippet (10)
  • Pink Demon Snippet (5)
  • Blue Demon Snipper (2)

The page reveals that you’ll need to locate an area blocked by thorns and pink leaves. It gives away hints such as being by the water, being in front of a tower, and having a pillar in front.

How to find the Sacred Spring

The location you’re looking for is Elysian Fields. On your map, you’ll see green foliage next to a red building. Interact with it and the yellow pool inside to get a vial of sacred water before returning to Hades.

While talking to Hades, you’ll quickly realize that you need more than just the vial to upgrade your watering can. Alongside this, you’ll need the following items:

  • Crimson Eternal Poppies (5)
  • Magma (3)
  • Hippocampus (2)

All three of these are available in Mythopia in various regions. Crimson Eternal Poppies spawn in Elysian Fields and Mount Olympus, while Magma and Hippocampus appear anywhere in Mythopia. Magma requires mining rocks along the walls, while Hippocampus appears in white fishing circles.

Crafting the Watering Can upgrade

Once you have each item, head to a crafting station to make the Watering Can potion. Using it will upgrade your watering can, allowing you to clear the flames around Fiery Plains.

After watering the flames and activating the wheel, you’ll automatically complete A Moth to a Flame and begin The Promethean Flame.
