Discord are aware of issues with people accessing the app. So, today, the fault is not yours! The good news is that Discord are working on the issue are hopefully they will have it resolved soon. The Tweet advises that you check their status page.

The status page tells us that “We’re experiencing unusual traffic spikes that lead to users being temporary blocked and we’re working on mitigating this issue.” Please note, despite this being a known issue, all the difference service quality bars appear to be at 100%. So, those greenbars will not always be an indicator about the availability of the service.

For now, all you can do is wait until the service comes back up, which will happen as soon as Discord have gotten to the bottom of the issue.

What else you might need to know

It might sound silly, but the main reason for this error is that you have actually been blocked. This can happen for any number of reason, but is likely down to suspicious activity on your server. If it is not September 29, the last time this article was updated, then you may want to get in touch with customer support if the status pages are not advising you of any issue. Someone may have managed to get their hands on your details and somehow broken the Discord Terms of Service with your account, getting you banned.
