To start off, the Mother’s Blessing event for Season 4 in Diablo 4 will begin on August 20, 2024, at 12 PM PST. It will run until August 27 at 10 AM PST.

During this time, all players will earn 35% more XP and 50% more gold. You can do this either on your Seasonal characters or Eternal characters.

Is the Mother’s Blessing event worth going back in?

With the big increase in XP and gold gains, you can easily level up another character to level 100 in a few days.

If you haven’t played Season 5 yet or are getting bored with your current character, now is the best time to hop in. The time it takes to level to 100 is a lot quicker compared to previous seasons and this just makes you hit the endgame faster.

Better yet, with the amount of Tempering, Enchanting, and Aspect Imprinting you’ll do, the amount of gold needed will increase dramatically. Namely, Enchantment re-rolling will cost upward of a million per re-roll after a few tries.

With newer and way better ways to farm gold, you can make enough to comfortably re-roll your favorite items until you get the right stats. Alternatively, you can also use that gold to trade with other people. With it being fixed prior to an exploit that needed to be patched out, there’s more use of it there.

If you’re willing to take the dedicated grinding route for the best build for your seasonal characters, you have to grind gold since it’s the ultimate endgame resource. Take that over the XP.
