Each new season in Diablo 4 requires you to start a seasonal character in order to experience the season-specific content. Since you have to level your new character starting at Level 1 each season, you’re going to want to do so as quickly as possible. If you’re looking to level the fastest way, and have created a new seasonal character in Diablo 4 Season 4, should you skip the campaign or not? Here’s our recommendation.
Should you skip the campaign?
For most players, you’re going to want to skip the campaign when creating a new seasonal character in Diablo 4, especially in Season 4. The new season introduced a reworked Helltide system that is accessible from World Tier 1, which gives you a much faster and more effective method of leveling up seasonal characters as opposed to going through the whole campaign.
However, if you’ve not completed the Renown Tasks that carry over between seasons, which is to discover each area, find the Altars of Lilith, and complete side quests, it may be worthwhile to instead follow along the campaign and complete these tasks as you do so. The Renown rewards for doing these is not only very useful, but can be taken advantage of with each new season and only have to be completed once.
If you have already unlocked these Renown rewards and completed the campaign once on any character, including non-seasonal characters, than you will want to skip the campaign for Diablo 4 Season 4.
How to skip the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 4
You can skip the campaign in Diablo 4 Season 4 when creating your seasonal character. If you look at the screenshot above, you’ll see the option you need to select when creating your seasonal character, which is the ‘Skip Campaign’ button under ‘Gameplay Options’. You can do this on any seasonal character as long as you have completed the campaign at least once in any other character.
Once you’ve created a character you cannot go back and choose the option to skip the campaign. If you accidentally forgot to check the option to skip the campaign, your only option is to create a new Diablo 4 Season 4 seasonal character and make sure you enable the option this time around.
